Panasonic CY-PA4003U Power Amplifier
Panasonic Updated: 2007-06-22Make a Powerful Sound Statement
High efficiency is a key requirement for amplifiers, particularly when it comes to driving powerful speakers over long periods using the car's battery power. To attain high efficiency, the power supply drive stage employs MOS-FET devices having low internal impedance. This helps preserve the transparency and crispness of the original audio signal for faithful audio reproduction through the connected speakers. Maximum output power is an impressive 1000W (250W x 4), thanks to high efficiency with low heat generation and reduced load on the car battery.
Low-Pass Filter for Subwoofer
Amps with a built-in low-pass filter simplify upgrading to a subwoofer system. You can adjust the cutoff frequency continuously from 50Hz to 250Hz for optimum matching between the subwoofer's range and that covered by your other speakers.
Line-Out Jacks for Expansion
When configuring a sophisticated car audio system, line-out jacks make all of the difference. They let you easily connect multiple amps, while keeping the wiring neat for an attractive appearance.
"Intelligent" Bass Servo Circuit
In comparison with the midrange and tweeter units, the woofer has a relatively higher moving mass, heavier voice coil and larger inductance, so it needs more current to start moving. This causes the bass to lag behind the mid and high frequencies, resulting in unnatural tonal coloration. Furthermore, because of its longer throw, the woofer's voice coil has a greater tendency to deviate from pistonic motion, resulting in non-linear dynamic distortion. To overcome these woofer shortcomings, our "intelligent" bass servo drive circuit can feed very high current at the moment of start-up and instantaneously detect and correct the state of voice coil movement to maintain pistonic motion and avoid non-linearity. The result is bass that is more coherent with the rest of the frequency spectrum, achieving greater fidelity to the original sound.
Versatile Bridgeable Amp
With a 4-channel amp like this CY-PA4003U, you can bridge it for 3-channel or 2-channel output. Drive four speakers, two speakers, or two speakers and a subwoofer, the choice is yours. This amp has the flexibility to fit your car audio system.
