Yamaha RX-395 Natural Sound HiFi Receiver

2-WAY SPEAKER TERMINALS - - BANANA PLUG COMPATIBLE
Permits the use of a variety or speaker wires and connectors.

PURE DIRECT SWITCH AND AMPLIFICATION CIRCUIT
When this switch is engaged, the input signal bypasses the bass, treble, loudness, and balance circuits and travels straight to the power amplifier. You can choose this short, direct path if you want maximum signal purity.

CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE LOUDNESS CONTROL
At low volumes, the ear is less sensitive to low and high tones. A loudness switch does not solve the problem because it adjusts at only one level. Yamaha's exclusive Continuously Variable Loudness Control is the only way to fully compensate for this effect. This feature adjusts the volume while boosting or cutting the midrange to maintain proper tonal balance.

MOTOR -DRIVEN VOLUME CONTROL
Convenient remote control volume.

METAL FRONT PANEL
Prevents radio frequency interference (RFI) which degrades sound quality if component is placed near a TV or other source of RFI.

4 AUDIO AND 2A/V INPUTS
This receiver lets you hook up 4 audio components.

LINEAR DAMPING FACTOR CIRCUIT
A linear damping factor of 100 (8 ohms 20-20,000 Hz) means plenty of ability to stop the speaker cone from vibrating when the signal stops. Yamaha's circuit cancels the effect of level and frequency variations, maintaining a high, stable damping factor. The result is superior articulation of all sounds and significantly improved frequency response.

26 KEY SYSTEM REMOTE CONTROL
This means you can use the remote to control the major functions of other Yamaha components, reducing the number of remotes you need.

40 STATION RANDOM ACCESS PRESET TUNING
Preset stations can be grouped in five sets of eight, according to AM and FM, or musical genre, or any order you desire.

SLEEP TIMER
Switches unit off, after up to one hour of play.

A/B SPEAKER SELECTOR
Allows use of one or both sets of speakers.
