Higher Sensitivity
Sometimes flash can change the mood -- so the DSC-N2 features higher sensitivity (ISO 1600) for excellent low-light shots at higher shutter speed and for capturing images in museums or religious sites where flash may not be permitted.

Wider D-Range
Some compact digital cameras “wash out” color in brightly lit areas -- but the Sony DSC-N2 controls the light level received by its CCD imager to reduce washout and improve color reproduction.
