Olympus BF-P40 Anesthesiology Fiber Bronchoscope

The BF-P40, the first in a series of bronchofiberscopes with electrosurgical capability, has the design and features necessary to meet the demand for expanded bronchoscopic diagnostic and treatment capabilities. The scope includes a new control section and ergonomic design to facilitate increased operator comfort. It also provides a wider field of view, a smaller insertion tube and distal end diameter, and greater tip bending range all for easier operation during your procedures. And the BF-P40 includes improved suction and biopsy valves. All these features and more will help you reach a new level of performance in fiberoptic bronchoscopy.

* Designed to provide bright, high-resolution images and excellent optical characteristics
* Less invasive thanks to a 4.9mm distal end outer diameter for easier insertion and maneuverability
* Bending section range has been increased over previous models to 180-degrees UP and 130-degrees DOWN for improved access to the upper bronchial lobes
* Newly designed control section and ergonomic design decrease hand fatigue and chance of slippage during procedures.
* Expanded field of view is now a wide 120-degrees
* Due to improved suction and biopsy valves, BAL testing can now be performed using a syringe without removing the suction valve from the scope
* Accessories can easily be disposed or are autoclavable to significantly reduce the chances of infection
* Compatible with a number of electrosurgical accessories due to a 2.2mm channel and electrical insulation for operator safety
