Sanyo CE52SR1 Weatherproof LCD Monitor

The CE52SR1 52"large screen LCD monitor has several unique features that set it apart from the competition. Sanyo has used its environmental and engineering expertise to produce a uniquely weatherproof large-screen monitor. Now with the CE52 there is no need to worry about what kind of display can be used in many outdoor situations or even aboard ship – the Sanyo CE52 is suitable for just about any external environment with the tough international IP-56 rating.

The Sanyo CE52 carries a coveted IP-56 rating. The Ingress Protection, or IP, ratings were established by the European Committee for Electro Technical Standardization (CENELEC, described IEC/EN 60529) and specify the environmental protection an enclosure provides. The first number in the IP rating specifies the protection against solid objects where larger numbers indicate protection against increasing smaller things. The Sanyo CE52's first number of five indicates protection against dust, meaning no harmful deposits will form inside the monitor. The second IP number specifies the protection against liquids. The Sanyo CE52's second rating number of 6 indicates protection against low pressure jets of water so it would be ideal to be used onboard ships.

The CE52's frame and cabinet are constructed from marine grade anodized aluminum and were designed with a "no holes" ventilation system such that the LCD monitor stays cool while being protected from dust and the weather at the same time. In addition, Sanyo has fitted the CE52 with a tough, tamper-resistant anti-reflection cover glass which makes this large LCD monitor highly suitable for use in well-trafficked public areas as well as in almost any kind of unprotected outdoor area. Designers and decorators who've been searching for a weather-tough display that they can put onboard a yacht or in a crowded public garden are now in luck with Sanyo's CE52.

Sanyo's LCD monitor, while being protected from the weather, also guards the environment at the same time in comparison with similarly-sized large-screen displays. The Sanyo CE52 has lighter weight, runs cooler and uses less electrical power than similarly-sized plasma monitors. The CE52 makes no compromises on image quality with full WXGA resolution (1366 by 768 pixels), 500 cd/m2 on-screen brightness, 178 degree V/H viewing angle and a stunning 800 to 1 contrast ratio.

The CE52 comes equipped with a wide variety of AV, computer and HD-compatible input terminals so that you can make full use of the LCD monitor's colorful, blur-free, high speed 8 ms response time while watching a wide range of real time video signals. In addition to all the above features, like other Sanyo display products, the CE52 can be fitted with Sanyo's PJ-Net Organizer (POA-LN01) so that this large, outdoor monitor can be controlled over the internet.
