Asus P4XP-X Intel 845D Motherboard

The P4XP-X socket 478 P4 motherboard is just right for value and cost-conscious users. The P4XP-X supports both SDRAM and DDR SDRAM, USB 2.0, 6-channel audio, S/PDIF-out port, 10/100Mbps LAN, CrashFree BIOS2, Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and various features seen only on ASUS motherboards.

Socket 478 Pentium 4 Support
Supporting the latest Socket 478 Intel Pentium 4 Processors, which utilize the most advanced 0.13um process technology to provide frequencies up to 2.6GHz+.

Supports both SDRAM and DDR SDRAM
The P4XP-X supports 2 x 184-pin PC2100/1600 DDR DIMM and 2 x 168-pin PC133/100 SDRAM, both up to 2GB. With this flexible combo solution, users can easily upgrade system memory with either DDR SDRAM or SDRAM. (Note: DDR and SDR memory can not be used on P4XP-X simultaneously)

S/PDIF-out Port on back I/O (on audio model only)
The P4XP-X's S/PDIF out function turns your computer into a high-end entertainment system with digital connectivity to powerful speaker systems.

6 Channel Audio
The P4XP-X uses an onboard Audio CODEC that lets you enjoy high-quality 6-channel audio without having to buy advanced sound cards.

10/100 Mbps LAN Support
Easy connectivity to your network or broadband connection with onboard LAN port, lets you take gaming online without having to buy an additional LAN card.

USB 2.0 Ready
USB 2.0 is the latest connectivity standard for next generation components and peripherals. Backward compatible with current USB 1.1 peripherals, USB 2.0 delivers transfer speeds up to 40 times faster at 480Mb/s, for easy connectivity and ultra-fast data

ASUS CrashFree BIOS2
The CrashFree BIOS 2 feature now includes the BIOS auto-recovery function in a support CD. Users can reboot their system through the support CD when a bootable disk is not available, and go through the simple BIOS auto-recovery process. ASUS motherboards now enable users to enjoy this protection feature without the need to pay for an optional ROM.

C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)
When the system hangs due to overclocking failure, there is no need to open the case to clear CMOS data. Simply restart the system and the BIOS will automatically restore the CPU default setting for each parameter.

With ASUS EZ Flash, you can update BIOS before entering operating system. No more DOS-based flash utility and bootable diskette required.

Extreme Overclocking
ASUS P4XP-X offers robust overclocking options to maximize your system performance.
- SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) from 100Mhz up to 133MHz at 1MHz increments
- AGP/PCI Asynchronous Mode with FSB (fixed AGP/PCI frequencies)
- ASUS proprietary C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)
