Garmin GPSMAP 225 GPS Plotter
Garmin Updated: 2008-09-17 RSS
By combining Garmin's popular GPS plotter with a powerful 12 parallel channel GPS receiver and optional built-in differential GPS (DGPS) receiver, Garmin® GPSMAP systems provide a complete, easy-to-install navigation package that's a perfect fit for your nav station. A striking 16-color or crisp 3-level gray scale screen provides a large, vivid navigation picture.
For the ultimate plotting presentation, the GPSMAP 225 offers the same detailed mapping on a razor-sharp, 16-color LCD. Layering information in 16 colors–such as coastlines, depth contours, navaids and waypoints–produces a clear, easy-to-distinguish picture. The Active Matrix screen technology allows fast, continuous scrolling that's as smooth as glass. The GPSMAP 225 is also available with or without a built-in DGPS receiver.
The quality picture is only the tip of the iceberg with Garmin GPSMAP systems. The Graphic User Interface makes navigating the screens a snap, and the combination of interactive soft keys and single-function allows you switch screens with the touch of a button. On-screen commands simplify the menus for navigation or setup. The built-in worldwide basemap is complemented by Garmin inland and Navionics offshore G-chart™ cartridges with wide area and seamless coverage.
