Powerful AMD Turion
The notebooks in this series feature a high-performance Mobile AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor for improved system performance when running multimedia applications at the same time. The AMD processors also offer enhanced virus protection as well as the PowerNow! for longer battery life. For less demanding computing, choose a single-core Sempron processor.

Sleek look, durable finish
Like its diagonal 14.1" sibling the V3000Z, this notebook has a sophisticated black resin finish with an inlaid wave pattern and latch-free closure. The V6000Z also has backlit media launch buttons and volume control, which you control by simply tapping or swiping your finger across a strip on the keyboard.

Music, photos, and video
The V6000Z features HP QuickPlay 3.0 which lets you play music and movies at the touch of a button, as well as access photos. An optional remote, which tucks away in the ExpressCard slot, lets you control QuickPlay from up to 10 feet away. Transfer photos from a camera to the V6000Z via the media card reader, then use the Photosmart Premier software to edit, print, organize, share, and store. Select a SuperMulti DVD±RW/R drive and turn pictures into movies, or edit video and create CDs and DVDs. Take it a step further by choosing the LightScribe option on the SuperMulti DVD+/RW/R drive, which is 33 percent faster than the previous version and lets you burn silkscreen-quality labels on discs.

More connections
The HP xb3000 Notebook Expansion Base (sold separately) connects your V6000Z to peripherals, including a monitor if you want a desktop experience. Other ports: integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet2 (RJ-45 connector), two USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard/54 slot, an RJ-11 and an S-Video. For wireless connections, the V6000Z provides integrated 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN with optional Bluetooth.
