The Compaq Presario V6700TX features the latest Intel Core Duo processor and Mobile Intel 945 Express chipset. When configured with Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (optional), you can connect to most available base wireless LAN infrastructures (802.11b, 802.11a, or 802.11g).

This model features HP's high-tech, high-gloss, gray resin finish in our new "Trace" imprint pattern with easy latch-free closure. Plus, you can control the volume and launch buttons by tapping or swiping your finger across a strip on the keyboard.

Photos, videos, songs
Watch movies on the 15.4" Brightview widescreen (optional), and immerse yourself in great sound with the built-in Altec-Lansing speakers. The Presario V6700TX also has QuickPlay, which launches DVDs, music, and photos at the touch of a button. An optional remote, which stores in the ExpressCard slot, lets you control QuickPlay from up to 10 feet. You can transfer photos from your camera via the optional 5-in-1 digital media card reader, then edit, print, and manage. If you select the SuperMulti DVD±RW/R drive, you'll be able to turn photos into movies, plus edit videos. Choose the LightScribe option on the DVD±RW/R drive to laser-etch labels on CDs and DVDs.

Multiple connections
The HP xb3000 Notebook Expansion Base (sold separately) will connect your V6700TX to peripherals, including a monitor if you want a desktop PC experience. You get integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector), three USB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard/54 slot, an RJ-11, an IEEE 1394 FireWire, an S-Video port, and consumer IR. You also get integrated Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG, with or without Bluetooth. Stay connected virtually anytime, anywhere, without having to hunt for hotspots or pay access fees, with the optional Verizon Wireless V740 1XEVDO PC ExpressCard.
