Olympus Lock Inspection Systems

Internal viewing of locks is a task that demands an instrument small in diameter yet as robust as possible.  To meet this requirement, two products are available based on standard small diameter borescopes but adapted for this specialist application.

SDB Picking Scope

The Picking Scope is a compact borescope system for the inspection of many types of disc and pin tumbler locks.  Incorporating a 1.2mm (0.05") diameter insertion tube, the instrument features a spring-loaded retracting collar and locating pin for safe introduction into the lock.  The fibre-conduit optical system provides high-resolution images and will tolerate a degree of flexibility not normally associated with small diameter borescopes.

For total portability, the borescope is supplied with a removable, battery operated light source (ILK-M1) and the eyepiece is of the standard 32mm diameter type for direct compatibility with a wide range of CCTV and photographic equipment.
