Hugely Scalable Dell EqualLogic virtualized iSCSI SAN with performance and enterprise reliability

* Virtualized PS Series SAN architecture for consolidation and tiered storage
* Seamless scalability, up to 576 TB in a single SAN
* High density storage: 24 or 48 TB in 4U of rack space
* Low TCO with excellent cost-per-GB and comprehensive SAN management and protection software
* Help save money, space, and energy by consolidating with the PS5500E

Dell EqualLogic PS5500E is a virtualized iSCSI SAN that combines intelligence and automation with fault tolerance to provide simplified administration, rapid deployment, enterprise performance and reliability, and seamless scalability. With SATA disk drives the PS5500E delivers excellent cost-per-gigabyte and up to 576TBs of high capacity storage.

The PS5500E is an intelligent storage array that provides rapid installation, simple management, and seamless expansion. All PS Series storage arrays include SAN configuration features and capabilities that sense network topology, automatically build RAID sets, and conduct system health checks to help ensure that all components are fully functional. A PS5500E can often be configured and serving storage in less than 1 hour.

Dell EqualLogic PS Series arrays are based on a virtualized modular storage architecture that enables IT managers to purchase only the storage that is needed when it is needed – helping to prevent both underutilization and over-provisioning. Using patented data movement technology, all Dell EqualLogic PS Series arrays in a SAN work together to automatically manage data, load balance across all resources and expand to meet growing storage needs.

The Dell EqualLogic PS5500E, like all of the PS5000 Series, is designed to meet and exceed the rugged requirements of the data center. The PS5500E includes fault tolerance capabilities through fully redundant and hot swappable components – standard dual-controllers, triple fan trays, triple redundant power supplies and disk drives with hot spares. Self tuning write-back caches are battery-backed and mirrored across controllers for ultimate protection without compromising performance.
